Is that divorcing couple doing some form of malicious compliance with the Japanese government? Like, they aren’t allowed to just submit paperwork to legally change their names so they divorce and remarry (which would involve A LOT more paperwork for government bureaucrats) to achieve the same effect.
Pit maneuvers look really cool, but it’s kind of a weapon of last resort because you would almost inevitably damage both cars and in a worst case scenario cause a car to flip. Also you would NEVER do one in a busy surface street in the city because of the extreme risk of collateral damage.
he’s one of those kinds of rich people that has no interest in long term outcomes, only something that will generate results in the short term. Like making a company that will generate hundreds of millions of dollars within a few months, but next year will be shut down for anything from market saturation to fraud allegations to any other thing that made it unsustainable. Seeing how he has also been a staunch climate change denier this tracks.
be careful not to play the minuet of forest or one of the other transporter songs, I don’t think there’s a fast travel point on the campus so it’ll be a pain to get back
one of my Five Belows got those self checkout registers, but for some reason within a few weeks they shut them all down and now the human run registers are the only ones they use, and it’s been like that for about 2 months
the WRITER, the joke of the comic is “all of these things you think are stressful in your life are meaningless because in the past I had to deal with worse stuff” is a very boomer thing to say. Invalidating other people’s hardships because you think your hardships were worse is just out of touch and shows a lack of empathy.
man, it’s been FOREVER since I saw a reference to Jon’s job as a cartoonist. It’s also funny to see an application of “cartoons that cartoons watch” because that just falls into absurdity. Kind of like how the Simpsons watch Itchy and Scratchy which is all about over the top violence, or Steven Universe’s Crying Breakfast Friends which is about crying for character development.
