I remember an episode of MASH where the whole camp got caught up with a mystery novel that BJ got through the mail only to discover that the last few pages of the novel was missing so they didn’t know who the murderer was.
I started using a fanny pack when I ended up in a wheel chair for a while and realized that everything kept falling out of my pockets while I was in it.
This comic reminds me of the old comedy song “Boot to the Head” where an obnoxious student says he only signed up for lessons so he could learn to boot the head of anyone he doesn’t like. The master offers to give him an advanced lesson and gives the student a boot to the head. Several videos of the song are on Utube if you want to check it out.
I felt my age a few days ago, my nurses aide stepped into my room when they were playing that new cruise line commercial that uses the old theme to the “Love Boat” and I said something about how appropriate it was that they were using the love boat theme for a commercial about the Princess line cruises. My aide had never heard of the Love Boat and had no idea what I was talking about.
I was in a crash while working as a pizza delivery guy. The other driver tried to claim that I was speeding at the time and when the police asked me about it I admitted that I wasn’t looking at the speedometer at the time of the crash but knew from experience that I couldn’t get past the speed limit in the space I had. Since I was driving a 5 year old Chevy Citation at the time the officer knew I was telling the truth and put the whole blame for the accident on the other driver.
Genma Sautomi, what are you doing in that girl’s dream. (check out the anima Ranma 1/2 if you don’t catch the reference. Genma is Ranma’s father, cursed to turn into a giant panda whenever he get’s splashed with cold water).
Just think, when this comic was made they didn’t have pop top soup cans.
