   I remember the opening for the old TV show The Defenders “Democracy is a terrible form of government, but all the others are so much worse.” (That’s from memory it might be slightly off but that was close). That a Republic is a form of Democracy is something so many Republicans try to forget, however it is true.

   The newest CDC studies show that wearing a mask does protect you more than they first thought. This is something about science that the Trump cultist can’t/won’t accept, that science can change it’s mind, that new evidence can change conclusions. They think it has to right the first time and never change. As they say you can teach the ignorant but there is nothing to do for the stupid.

   Like seasonal flu? Really?!?! Last year from Sept to April less than 60K people died from the flu, 8 months of Covid has almost triple that amount.

   If you wish people to treat you with civility I suggest you start by being civil yourself. You hide behind making greatly insulting remarks by saying “It was a joke” and then usually compound your rudeness by claiming that you are so much smarter than the recipient that they fail to understand the humor. Look in the mirror dude.
