    My father was an Auctioneer and I grew up working in his Auction House. Winning something at an auction implies that you have bid on it. The highest bidder is the winner. Winning a raffle is the luck of the draw but winning at an auction is attributed to the bankroll of the winner.

    One of the phrases my father used to say to bidders when conducting his auction was, “Just one more bid. I’ll tell you when you get too high.”
