    My major was Physics, and we were required to take Fortran. It was still punch cards then. That’s bad for a guy like me, who is a pretty fast typists (had typing in high school) but makes a lot of errors. I would ruin cards like crazy. At the end, I’d have a big stack of bad cards, and a smaller of of “Schrödinger” cards, whose correctness was unknown until turned in to run on the mainframe.
