Trump has his own best interests in mind. Trump’s move to postpone a decision to allow the import of elephant hunting trophies from two African countries came as a surprise not only to interest groups, but also the US Fish and Wildlife Service employees who oversaw the proposed change in policy. I am pleased he intervened, and at the very least put a pause on a misguided and inhumane policy. And I would urge him to make it permanent. I wouldn’t say that I have high hopes. I would say that I am hopeful and that the American public is very united in opposing the trophy hunting of African elephants and African lions. And if he’s alternative to Republicans and independents and Democrats alike, then he’ll make the policy permanent.

They are using partial data to say the GOP tax bill favors middle-income households. The House and Senate bills will not only change personal income taxes; they will also change how other types of taxes are levied, including corporate and estate taxes.

This Republican tax plan is a scam that won’t create jobs, contrary to what Trump says, this is a massive and destructive financial giveaway masquerading as pro-growth tax reform. The more money and incentives you give the wealthy, the more the wealthy will have.

A teacher who buys pens, pencils, paper for his students will not be able to deduct the costs from his tax returns under the GOP Tax plan. A corporation that buys pens, pencils and papers for its workers will be able to deduct those costs from its tax returns under the GOP Tax plan. A firefighter will not be able to deduct the state and local sales taxes that she pays from her tax return under the GOP Tax plan. A corporation will be able to deduct sales taxes on business purchases under the GOP Tax plan. If a worker has to move because his employer is forcing him to relocate, he can not deduct his moving expenses under the GOP Tax plan. A corporation under the GOP Tax plan can deduct outsourcing expenses incurred in relocating a U.S. business outside the United States.

If you are groped by a congressman, blow the whistle, and his identity will be kept private while the taxpayers will pay you off. If it is a Democrat, notify the ethics committee, if it is a Republican, you’ll have to donate to his re-election campaign. That is the only way to keep equivalent.

You keep pretending like the rich won’t get a massive cut, while the middle class will pay for it. I know it sounds good to pretend the bill will cut taxes for all and create jobs, but the actual legislation does neither.

It is time to start impeachment proceedings to remove Trump as leader, it is time to oust the 71 year old nationalist. It is not time for Republicans to sell out, Trump has been trying to usurp constitutional power since he took office. He has been trying to position his children as his successor. It is time for him to resign, change is overdue… maybe once Trump is gone, we will finally see jobs created.

Trump didn’t mean what he said about pardoning the turkey as they ate the bird later that day. I should have left them in the gravy! The president complained. He lashed out at the turkeys after a perceived insult to his intelligence when he lost a debate to the turkey.

They have a snake in the DOJ and a Russian bear to help them with elections.

It wasn’t so long ago that Republicans in Congress cared about how a president comported himself in office. They cared a lot! The president is, after all, commander in chief of the armed forces, steward of the most powerful nation on earth, role model for America’s children — and he should act at all times with the dignity his station demands. It’s not O.K. to behave in a manner that demeans the office and embarrasses the country. Shirt sleeves in the Oval Office? Disrespectful. Shoes on the Resolute desk? Even worse. Lying? Despicable, if not impeachable. But that was the standards they held all black presidents to.

The question is why would someone who is the right kind of person be attracted to the political process? There are so many pitfalls in the system, which are not for the faint-hearted. The whole political approach from the Republican perspective, is a joke that exposes the dysfunctional nature of American politics. Obviously, to enter into the American political arena as a candidate, one needs to have a very thick skin that will not easily be bruised.

The parties are in a death match and the American people are caught in the middle. We face growing inequality and spreading international terrorism. but the bitter fight between Democrats and Republicans have largely ground the government to a halt. Partisans on both sides have stopped talking to each other, much less work together. The most extreme are convinced that members of the other party are treasonous and purposefully harming the nation. They don’t just think they have better ideas or their opponents are misguided and honestly believe that the other side is more interested in partisan gain than the well-being of the nation. Many of the more extreme partisans simply refuse to work with the other side. The result is that the two parties have the nation’s capital, and many state capitals, in a death grip.
