Assessment is the first and most important step of “aid”. Unless Mrs Horner just happened to fall and land in the the “recovery” position, Luann correctly positioned, determined that she was breathing and had a pulse, thus preventing further injury from unneeded interventions (Ahem, Vale!) She correctly directed others to seek help, and stayed by Mrs Horner to observe, and explain events to the Emergency team. Mrs Horner was relieved to see her familiar face when she awakened.
