Transcript:
Alice: Is your mom still scrapbooking your stuff? Boy: Now she's saving everything I touch. Last night I played tic-tac-toe on a children's menu at a pizza restaurant. Mom took the menu home and put it in a scrapbook along with the napkin I used and a photo of me with the waiter. My dad read her a magazine article about how parents today have fallen victim to the cult of the child. About they've fetishized their kids and worship them as miniature deities. Alice: And yet no one will push me on this stupid swing. Boy: Mom glued the article into a scrapbook. I feel like I'm being stalked by a deranged fan.
Helicopter moms and moms who do this kind of thing are the most damaging to their children.
When they go to college and you call the college six times a day to try and score updates they won’t give you, don’t complain when they take out a restraining order.
