Mark: Hmm...nothing that exciting here...okay, let's play a record instead of the news! We're back with baby boom chronicler Dan Asher, here to discuss the generational politics of '88! Dan Asher: Thanks Mark. As I was saying before the break, this is the first presidential election in which the baby boomres are positioned to usher in a new generation of leadership! Next year there will be 72 million potential boomer voters, and as Hart demonstrated briefly in '84, there are generational themes that resonate deeply with this otherwise disparate group. Anyone who can tap into those commonalities who can lead the boomers into the future, has got an excellent chance! The big question is who. Who can do it? Who can combine the free spirited irreverence of the '60s withthe hightech hardheadedness of the '80s? Ron Headrest: T-t-talkin' 'bout my g-g-generation!
