Gary, Gary, Gary…. you really are not interested in facts, are you? Just like an ICE vehicle, faults in the battery is covered by warranty and insurance the first years – no pain. Then tell me how this would differ from the same guy hearing that he need to replace his ICE unit in a 7-9 year old car – pretty close to 15 grand too…. EV batteries have been proven to last 8-10 years and the “only” thing you will get then is reduced capacity – it will still work but at reduced range. Alot of the taxis in Stockholm are Tesla model S and they usually get around 250 k miles out of a battery – and their recharge pattern isn’t exactly optimal for battery lifetime.
