There is Newspeak and Newsspeak. In Newsspeak if 30% like A and 30% like B and 40% like C, then the majority (sometimes they’ll just say “most”) of the people like C or if you are from the other side, the majority of the people hate C. according to my high school English (and the meaning of the word “majority”) an my high school math, neither statement is true. It’s obvious that the majority of people didn’t learn this stuff in high school.
