I live in Canada; the might is right attitude of the Republican party’s most vocal and rabid proponents is frightening. I can see a climate denying president elected by disenfranchising the voters of the states controlled by the Republicans deciding that the solution to the drought in the south-west United States would be to divert and drain the great lakes. which will cause further irreversible effects on North America and leading to a war with Canada over water. They will try to justify their actions based on the free trade agreement arguing that because they have the greater need that they have the right to the water which is actually an international resource.
