I presume Blumberg’s intent is to limit excessive and harmful intake of calories by the kids who may not have developed the judgement and knowledge to make good decisions. It is sad to see obese kids hanging around the 7-11 with way too many empty calories in hand. Almost as sad to see adults scoffing down big platters of bacon and eggs, with huge gut overhanging belt. A little restraint all over wouldn’t hurt. If I was a New Yorker, I would welcome Blumberg’s initiative, because I would not always be there to provide guidance for my kid.
