It’s Friday and we’ve made it to the end of another week. I don’t know why I still consider Friday the end of the week, I’ve been retired for many years now. (Good grief, has it really been that long???) What’s my point? I don’t know, it just seemed like the thing to say this morning.
Michael changed a light bulb in the closet this morning. He got it all put back together and the whole thing fell off the ceiling and was dangling by the wires. Between us we did manage to get it fixed, but it was one of those “laugh hysterically” projects. Sometimes things like that just tickle your funny bone and you can’t help it.
I have another paint walk-around this morning, but it’s only 1 building instead of 4, so it won’t be quite as tiring as Wednesday. The only thing we’re worried about in this particular building is the owner of one of the units. He’s a very friendly guy who loves to talk, and if we get stopped by him, it could take an hour or more. Wish us luck.
I got behind on my bible reading the last couple of days, so this morning I sat down and read the first 12 chapters of Leviticus. I think perhaps the fact that it is Leviticus was the reason I neglected it. It’s rough going. I’ve been using the NASB 95 for my reading this year. It’s quite a bit different from the New Living Translation I’ve been reading the last few years, but just as easy to understand. In church we use the New King James.
Not much else on the agenda for today. I’ve got 22 rows out of 151 done on my rug. It takes about an hour per row and I’ve been doing 2 or 3 on the days I work on it. At this rate, I figure it will be done around Christmas. Perhaps I’ll work on the doll house instead. Or at least read through the directions again and see if I can translate them into something I can understand.
It’s another relatively warm forecast today. We’re looking at 58 and it’s already 55.
