Man 1: More *@#!! negative news about the government! Man 2: It's unpatriotic, I tell ya! Obviousman: *Sigh* sounds like another job for Obviousman! Man 2: Gasp! Man 1: Uh-oh. Obviousman: What are you, a couple of freedom-hating, tali-boneheaded commies, spitting on the constitution?! man 2: Wha...? Man 1: No way, pal! We're real Americans! Obviousman: Our forefathers knew the path to tyranny is paved by an unquestioned government, so they established a free press to keep democracy alive. A free society means having the right to hear bad news, so a real American can handle the truth and welcomes scrutiny of our leaders! Man 2: Questioning authority... Man 1: Is good? Man 1: Um... would that mae us *gulp* liberal? Man 2: Oh lord... how would I eplxain that to my children? Obviousman: Try using a dictionary and a history book...
I’m having trouble figuring out why it’s such a tormented, twisted concept for the conservatives and liberals to combine their ideas, focus on the things they can legitimately agree upon, and fortify our political arena with harmonious solidarity rather than constantly blaming each other and sabotaging each other’s attempts to get something done. Our differences should be our most revered strength, our disagreements the royal road to truth and progress.
