Well, when her mom was offering all sorts of cosmetic apartment fixes she did get that call from her dad to buy the only practical offer, and the girl being steamrollered by her mom on curtains etc was told to tell him that the toolbox purchase idea was out of line. and not to take orders like that. Stated as “get over to the phone right now and tell him that,” of course… guess it got lost, though plungers don’t fit in the standard ready-made toolbox kits…
