In the case of Ink Pen, I would settle for fixing the “day of the week” problem, and ignore the “month of the year” issue. The next time the re-run archive cycles, it will break again, anyway.
Just another reason that GoComics thoughtlessly rerunning the strips with a four-day offset is really, really stupid (especially since it would be perfectly simple to fix).
In “a Golden Celebration” (p. 29), Schulz erroneously identified this as the “first” penpal letter, but that strip actually appeared on 25-Aug-1958.
Schulz is on record as stating that Charlie Brown was not “bald”.
