Gentrification is when the current tenants are driven out by rising rents = established functioning neighborhoods are forced out with no compensation. Urban renewal often means current residents’ home environment is improved and benefits current tenants.
I seem to recall the first was Big Brother. I found myself dashing home to catch every episode, so (after watching every single episode of Big Brother, I swore never again.
And this looks a lot like slave labor, especially when you add in all the black lives affected.
