We passed the 22nd Amendment to prevent a future (malevolent) President from trying to become a dictator. It will take another constitutional amendment to repeal ‘Presidential Immunity’ once and for all. Fortunately only congress and the state legislatures need to make it happen, thusly leaving the executive branch out of the process.

Andrews McMeel takes itself too seriously. The commentators on the editorial cartoons know it’s just a snark section on our current state of affairs. Only a small number of unbalanced individuals would take it any further. The censors won this time, sadly.

Who are we fighting ? Our fellow Americans who pay taxes and obey our laws ? Be wary of any politician who tells you they are going to ‘fight’ for you.

Edith Wilson took over as President when Woodrow had his stroke in Oct 1919, until the Harding administration came into office. She and her husband’s physician successfully blocked Wilson’s VP Thomas Marshall from even visiting or trying to speak to the President. On a practical basis, she was our first woman president.
