Karloff played the part in Arsenic & Old Lace on Broadway, but not in the movie version. Why I’m not sure. But it may have been that he was not under contract to the studio that made the movie.

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who remembers the Brush. He’s not mentioned as much as say Flattop. That was one of Chester’s best stories.

Tracy, proper police man that he is would try to stop Punjab from taking the law into his own hands.

And yet mankind still thinks they can get along without God. As Moses said in the “Ten Commandments”. “It would take more than a man to free the slaves, it would take a God!” The same is true about bringing peace to the world. It will take more than a man or woman leader or even a United Nations, it will take a God!

Tracy and Annie didn’t know what was showing until they got to the theater. Those were the days! It didn’t matter what was showing you knew it was something you could take your whole family to. Now as the Staler brothers said in their song, “Whatever happened to Randolph Scott?”, “you gotta read the paper and know the ratings of GP G and R and X and you gotta know what the movie’s about before you even go!” (I know some of those ratings are out of date now, the song was written in the 70’s but it still applies today.)
