I think that what kab2rb was saying was that it was cheaper for them as a family to lose her salary and not pay for daycare rather than have two salaries and pay for daycare. Obviously when she became a SAHM this does mean “their income was pooled and whatever paid from that”, as she and the kid had to live on husband’s earnings.
I rememebr when my kids were young and had those kiddy steering wheels with lots of buttons to press. One kid with one wheel = ugh, what an annoying noice. Two kids with two wheels = oh, what a nice peaceful time, no fighting kids to separate.
Ugh how I dislike this kind of speculating. I guess that’s how I got (back when I was that age) informed that I am into this or other guy. Can’t remember them ever getting it right.
