Why would we do that to Australia? I’ve been there and it’s a nice country.

You miss the point, as usual. What sells or gets high ratings is not always what is good. Rap music far outsells classical music. Do you want to argue that you would rather your kids listen to rap than Beethoven or Mozart?

“Gee, their ratings kill MSDNC and CNNLOL.”

Imagine that a certain market has two radio stations, one of which presents an evening of Beethoven’s greatest works. At the same time, the other presents hours of the new rap sensation “Garbagemouth”. Which station do you think would “kill” the other that night in ratings?

Does that mean “Garbagemouth” is better music than Beethoven?

No, today’s worker is not doing the same job he did years ago. Technology has changed the nature of front line factory jobs; one worker today does the work of five back in the old days. Why should all of the benefit from increased efficiency go to the top tier for bloated multi-million dollar salaries, stock buybacks, and dividends?

Who cares what you do or don’t think?

Nonsense when one considers that pay for the line workers has remained flat over the past four decades (adjusting for inflation) while productivity per worker has risen nearly 100% and pay for the top executives has skyrocketed.

The ‘pugs think they have to trash the constitution, sever long and fruitful alliances, destroy the nation’s school system, and establish orange Julius as our permanent dictator in order to save ’Murica from the “libs”.

There is an imminent government shutdown, and all the right-wing cartoonists can come up with is one senator’s hoodie.

BTW: When was the “Bowie Knife Era”? From what year to what year?

I think you have been watching too many Rambo films.
