History — like the Greek gods, and Sumerian gods, and Babylonian gods, and Egyptian gods? Or El, the storm god who became Yahweh? All are real gods. Some people still believe in El/Yahweh but almost no one still believes in those other gods. It’s all about longevity. And conquest. Lots of conquest.

He’s not naïve at all about God.

I think the Discworld gods have a good setup going — people don’t bother them for divine intervention, and they don’t put their noses in where they’re not wanted.

Which data set are you using? The one I found on the Office for National Statistics site ( /peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/deaths/datasets/deathsbyvaccinationstatusengland) only has people 18 and older. I need a link to the source you’re using. Because, frankly, it sounds like anti-vaxxer BS.

Oh, bother. I haven’t been on GoComics for at least a year; is this something new?

Wait, I think it’s more than two years. Time flies . . .

You have proof the vaccines are more lethal than the disease? Citations from reputable medical journals, not anti-vax substacks needed.

Nope. The FDA asks for proof that the new drug be at least as effective as the old one. And if the two are equal in efficacy and safety, there has to be a reason stated to approve the new drug, e.g. it’s cheaper, or it’s beneficial to a larger and more diverse population, or has less side effects.

No scientist or researcher claimed vaccines were 100% safe. Nothing is 100% safe. Anyone who says otherwise is selling something.

Do you really think researchers at pharmaceutical companies and research centers don’t want to cure cancer? Cancers that they or their loved ones may be suffering from.
