GNWachs Let us try this one more time. Between 92 and 98% of those “unfit” subprime borrowers are making their payments on time with no foreclosure. That is 9 out of 10. THEY are NOT to blame for this crisis. It is the “clever” brokers who came up with the ridiculous idea of pooling and selling debt as a security. Want some background? Go ahead and read about the Great Panic of 1819. In a lot of ways, it seems to be the best parallel to the present situation. Substitute “financial institutions selling CDO’s” for “wildcat banks” and you pretty much have history repeating itself almost 200 years later.

Huh…whaa..whoa…I’m awake now. And YEAH he is back. (I know I am a few days late on that one. Must have fallen asleep. Know I know how W and McCain must feel during those boring briefings about Al Qaeda!) Oh, and yes, this is why many of us wanted some parameters on the bailout (or what the GOP calls “strings.”) I say roast and cut open that bird for Thanksgiving, and maybe there will be enough credit for Christmas shopping (not even sure that metaphor made sense).

You mean patriotic like having Daddy get you out of a war and into a National Guard unit that would not deploy, only to fail to serve even then? Or patriotic like claiming you stand for America’s ideals in the Constitution, only to run it through the shredder? Yeah, that First Amendment is troublesome. But it lets folks like you write gibberish. Very clever atavar. I get it, because you believe Obama is a socialist, and you also mistakenly believe there is not difference between liberalism, communism, and socialism, you have a little crescent and hammer in the Obama logo. Gee, that is clever. All you conservatives think he is a socialist. Just like Jefferson, S. Adams, Lincoln, Eisenhower, and Nixon.

If you do not have alot, Paul, worry not. You will have more with President Obama, whom I have only heard the right call a “messiah” or a “savior.” Freudian slips, perhaps. In any event, if you do not like the Jeffersonian idea of preventing the creation of an entrenched aristocracy, you are always free to give your share back to your favorite millionare.

    Muchado,

I stand in awe of your meticulously-constructed strawman argument. An argument that, as usual, addresses none of the points I raised. Don’t get me wrong, I still find your rants humerous. Keep up the good work.

Smells like a reality show – or a new SNL skit (loved the one with Fallon as bin Laden and Sanz as Sadaam).

I hope it’s not plumbing metaphors from here to Election Day. Ugh!
