Not long after I got my greyhound, like Farley, she dug herself a patch of earth to lie in. I was considering getting her a wading pool to cool off in, but fortunately I found out she’s a bit of a diva when it comes to getting her dainty paws wet!

At this particular point in time Michael probably won’ttrust his father, but with age and life experience, he more than likely will.

After washing it I brush/comb it in to style then let it dry naturally.

I have waist length hair that I would love to do this to, but because it is wavy, it wouldn’t really work. The good thing is tho, if I let it air dry, I get beautiful waves and ringlets.

When I was a teen, I had a fall from a horse that had bolted along train tracks. I basically somersaulted over his shoulder, and was lucky not to break any bones. I was wearing a tee shirt, and had severe road rash on my lower arms, nape of my neck and cheek. My back muscles were strained, but very little of it was torn up unlike the rest of my body. Do I think it;s a coincidence that only exposed parts of my body suffered road rash? No I don’t. I don’t want Martha covering up to be decent, I want her to cover up for safety reasons.

I knew you were, I actually rang my cousin last night and spoke to him about it. He was VERY impressed I remembered the incident as it happened almost 30 years ago. He also confirmed that the sound was LOUD and his hand actions were on par with this guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmtzQCSh6xk

Whoops I didn’t explain it properly. Both cars were stopped at the lights, my cousin had the song playing and doing the hand actions when he happened to look across to the car next door to see them doubled up laughing. Knowing my cousin he probably had the sound cranked up and enthusiastically doing the actions!!

My cousin was once busted singing to Black Lace’s “Agadoo” and doing the hand actions to the song by two police officers in a police car at a set of traffic lights. Apparently they were crying with laughter. For those of you unfamiliar with the song here’s a linkhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POv-3yIPSWc

I believe the examples of white noise that helps people sleep that have been provided in this thread. I have seen them work on others, but I’m damned if they work for me! A ticking clock is guaranteed to keep me awake for literally hours, the low hum from the gas heater in our family room? Forget it! Sometimes during the summer I can get to sleep with the fan going, but I suspect it could be more exhaustion than it’s soothing hum. As far as I know my mum never carried me around like Elly did with April, probably because I am a VERY light sleeper.
