    They get really soggy so we buy sugarcane straws that feel almost exactly like plastic but are made with sugarcane fiber and can be reused many times. They can also be used in hot drinks as well.

    Depends on where you live. I’d wager those in and near Flint, MI and other places that have discovered lead in their pipes are more than happy to continue to buy bottled water. ;)

    They kept hitting our teeth so we switched over to sugarcane straws. Unfortunately, they aren’t sweet (ha ha) but at least they are sustainable and can be reused many times. We get them from Amazon and they are reasonably priced at $8.99 for 200 straws. Not as sustainable as the metal ones but we had to make compromises. MUCH better than the cardboard straws though. Like Bub discovered, those things are awful to use! lol

    Reminds me of the “vegetable wash” they were selling near the produce at the grocery store in the 90’s. It’s like, “hey wash your veggies with chemicals to remove the chemicals!”

    Well some cleaning services offer to do that but for a premium price. It’s not servant-hood it’s paying for the work. If a cleaning service is willing to do that they will charge appropriately and it will be much more than just dusting and mopping.

    Agreed!!! My husband wanted us to start paying a cleaning service but when I found out they don’t do the “hard” stuff like dishes, laundry, and clearing up, I decided it’s not worth the cost. I could do the dusting and mopping by myself. lol
