    The word you want is “analogue” if you’re referring to an analogy. And while “analog” is technically about the representation of data, in common usage it is seen as an opposite to digital/electronic. This is a physical defense, instead of a digital/electronic one.

    Language evolves. It helps to keep up.

    It’s not even pedantic. “Was” is the preferred tense here, as it refers to a past occurrence (and the current state of the house may be unknown, like Schrodinger’s Cat).

    Doubtful. Despite the wishful thinkings of shippers everywhere, sometimes people just don’t feel that way about each other. If you don’t like it, you can always write your own fanfic.
