    Free competition brings prices to the lowest level possible. Regulation pushes prices to the highest level possible.

    Freedom works. The decline of the culture arose with the creation of economic regulators, and the erosion of individual freedom is perfectly corelated. Only the totalitarians among us wish to impose the bureaucrat’s predilections over those of millions of people voting with their dollars.

    Right, the government produces so much, and taking away the funds used by the private sector does no damage to any. Much economics knowledge missing in modern America.

    The government is the problem. It takes from the taxpayers and gives to “preferred” companies. Abolish non-military spending and the problem will vanish.

    Respectfully disagree with your perspective on the purpose for regulations (to prevent people from having to sue.) For politicians the purpose of regulations is so they can rescue their bribers from the clutches of the clueless regulators. For regulators the purpose of regulation is to show how necessary they are, slaying dragons that generally do not exist. For the taxpayer the purpose of regulations is to find a way to allow otherwise unemployable government employees to obtain a paycheck.
