When we toured a few “tourist” areas in Britain, we discovered that they do add smell to the “ride” to enhance the experience. Some of those smells weren’t very pleasant (like the guy sitting in an open-air outhouse in Jorvik Viking Village in York). They even had scratch-and-sniff postcards with those smells available in the gift shop.

Good morning, Vagabonds.
My news for today: I’m going to have to take a step back from GoComics. We Vagabonds have been meeting here for so many years and you are all such a fixture in my life. I will miss you all. We’ve lost so many along the way for one reason or another. Who can forget Shirttail Slim? And with Justina and Joker we have new members as well.
The beginning of daylight savings time is always a pain. You get up at your body’s usual time and it’s an hour later. We have to get used to getting up an hour earlier (though, being retired, I’m not sure why). I’m off to my Esther bible study later this morning.
One last weather report: Gloomy, but a high of 73. We’ll see.
Good-bye my friends and may God bless all of you.

Probably supposed to be a kid’s punching bag wearing a hat.

A lot of seniors still have land lines. I know that doesn’t pertain to this strip though.

Good morning, Vagabonds.
Welcome to Daylight Savings Time. Fortunately, most of my clocks reset themselves. The ones that don’t will keep me busy for a while today. My alarm clock is one of the good ones.
The hockey game was a lot of fun yesterday. They did a lot of things that were takes on Star Wars. I even bought a jersey that is a combination of SW and the Silver Knights. We lost, but the game was still exciting. In my opinion, our best players who had been sent up to the Golden Knights broke their rhythm with the Silver Knights. Now that they are back (the VGK just traded for some good players so they don’t need the guys from our team) they haven’t gotten the rhythm back yet. They play again on Tuesday, so we’ll see how well 2 days of practice help.
Off to church in a few minutes. I missed yesterday’s women’s meeting because it conflicted with our trip to the arena. Darn!
We’re supposed to get back up to 70 today, but it hasn’t even hit 50 yet. Sweater in the morning and short sleeves in the afternoon.
Everyone have a blessed Sunday.

She put carpet on BOTH sides of the door. And a leash still has nothing to do with him wanting to go through the door either way.

And this has what to do with a dog signaling its need to “go” outside?

Good afternoon, Vagabonds.
We’re off to the hockey game in about 20 minutes so I’ll keep this short. Did anyone have any guesses about the Star Wars characters/actors from yesterday?
To reiterate, the actors who are still alive: Mark Hammill, Harrison Ford, James Earl Jones, Peter Mayhew and Anthony Daniels. Those who have passed away: Carrie Fisher, Kenny Baker and David Prowse. Who were the characters they each played in the 1977 original?
I did get a chance to try Cozy’s inverter yesterday. It was an interesting experience to have all my fat rolls hanging in the wrong direction, even my facial cheeks. I did find out that I haven’t been doing enough deep massage or stretching of my right arm muscles. The area around my underarm surgical scar was tight & uncomfortable.
It’s another beautiful day outside. It’s 64 right now and is forecast to reach 66. No complaints from this quarter.
Everyone have a pleasant day.

I believe that would be June Lockhart. She was also in “Meet Me in St. Louis” as the girlfriend of Judy Garland’s older brother. And of course, Timmy’s mom.
Off topic, but I just wanted to say to Howtheduck that I’ve enjoyed your sense of humor and the banter back and forth for the last few years. I’ve decided to step away from GoComics and will miss you (and several of the others here on FBorFW).
