Just like you forgot that the House did pass the Zika funding bill, but Senate Democrats blocked it because they turned up their noses at the cuts to Planned Parenthood that were included in the bill. President Obama had promised to veto it even if the bill had passed.

At least the Democrats were consistent on both parts of the bill – they voted for death both times.

This is why nobody reads Doonesbury any more.

People who are not in the Tea Party should be intelligent enough not to try to speak to what the Tea Party believes. It’s like when you tell people wearing Herman Cain t-shirts that they are racist and don’t want a black man in the White House. Better save your words of wisdom for the Flea Party who is occupying Wall Street.

I wouldn’t congratulate the rebels at all… this guy should have been brought back alive. The trigger-happy jerk who shot him in the head should be shot himself.

Since none of the players in this little drama actually did anything close to what is being presented, GT has lampooned only himself in this odd series.

Gary, you’ve been a good teacher on occasion, but the only thing that you’re teaching us this month is the meaning of the word “irrelevant”. Politically, you have now set a new standard.

Americans don’t believe that tax breaks for the wealthy create jobs, but they also don’t believe that huge government stimulus packages create jobs either. They DO believe that loading taxes and regulations onto businesses will either drive them overseas or out of business. On the state level, the competition factor is very much alive, as business-friendly states are taking away jobs from “moocher” states. Since the US government (falsely) believes it has no compitition, its only solution to paying its bills is to regularly increase the amount of debt it allows itself to carry.

palin, I’m not so sure that the world of Jeff’s parents is any more “real” than his own. Metaphysically speaking, Jeff/Red Rascal has indeed brought his dreams to life, and somewhat successfully. Does that make him an idiot? How many others can say the same?

@Wyntre, we all shape the world, and some of us do so in much more profound ways than does Trudeau.

@ Sandfan, there are such symbols, and depending on their color and/or location they not only designate availability but status (gay, bi, top, bottom, etc.). I don’t think they come standard on US Army uniforms.

Leo/Toggle, of course, is incorrect. The Constitution does not specifically sanction a right to open carry. It does, however, sanction the right to carry in general, and it also gives power to the states to specify the conditions that citizens may do so.

Alex is also incorrect when she questions having firearms as a “freedom”. I’m glad that Leo corrected her. Not untypically, Garry has posed a question which does not actually exist, and then graciously has supplied his own answer to it
