That you probably are, or are close to, collecting social security.

But if someone’s a vegan atheist who does crossfit, which are they most likely to mention first?

The idea already exists, they just need to make them in sizes for larger, fast food sized cups.I know that one place I go uses the same cup for both a large coffee or a small fountain drink, and I would just put the coffee sipper lid on instead of the regular one, even though I’m not drinking coffee.

If they want to cut back on straws, maybe they should start using coffee style sipping lids for all drinks in all sizes. And yes, you could still be a punch out hole for those that want/need to use a straw.

Rural towns especially are where Amazon lockers are needed. Then it’s easy for their people to just deliver the stuff without getting lost trying to find some rural house. I spent a Christmas years ago delivering for FedEx in some pretty rural parts of the county and there were some address that were nearly impossible to find.

Plus, the lockers are good for bringing people to someones business. So when someone goes to pick their stuff up, maybe they buy things at that location.

In the last five years, the only thing I’ve ordered from Amazon that was delivered by the post office, was something they dropped of directly at the local post office. The rest were all delivered by Amazon drivers.Usually I avoid this completely because there are several Amazon lockers I can easily access on my way to or from work, then I don’t have to worry about porch pirates.

Not with cheap companies like Temu and Shein. They sends tons of that junk using the post office.

The IRS used to have a rule that if you owed less than $1 you didn’t have to pay (you still had to file though). If they owed you less than $1, you had to specifically request it to be mailed to you (this was pre-direct deposit).

But with direct deposit these days, there’s no need for the postage at all.

I’ve seen popular geeks do this online, and as a fellow geek it annoys me to no end. We should certainly be smart enough to recognize this hypocritical behavior and be called out for it if/when it happens. He shouldn’t be “blaming” his wife because their daughter might be more athletically inclined than either of them. Instead maybe he should just be wondering where she got it from. Sometimes certain forms of humor need to be retired.

And I’m old and have been reading syndicated comics for many decades, and I’m glad when a creator retires a reoccurring joke or story arc when it’s clearly worn out it’s welcome or has become a bit socially problematic.

Given that our gold medal winning team was mostly in their 20’s, I’d say it’s favoring older women’s gymnasts. Maybe she was break dancing. It looks like she was doing a back flip, which I associate more with gymnastics.
