The Western Ontario University in London may be a real university, but the WOU in the strip is only in Lynn’s imagination. This is a comic strip. This is fiction. The characters in it are whatever Lynn decides they should be on any given day.
Can someone explain to me why prices at thrift stores have nearly doubled? Especially the ones that are staffed by volunteers and use the money to buy bibles to “save the souls” of East Indian. I shopped at thrift stores because I couldn’t afford new, and now I can’t afford secondhand.
Please be advised: these are not real people; this is not a real college; those are not real dorm rooms. This all came from Lynn Johnston’s imagination. THIS IS A COMIC STRIP.
Shari Lewis had two puppets that she only used on the Tonight Show. Hopscotch was a rabbit that would devolve into a sloppy drunk and a goat (whose name escapes me) that had an extremely foul mouth.
First, are you sure the dorm has an RA? If there was one at the college I attended, nobody told me who it was. Second, Jillings is a jack*ss pretending to speak “Shakespearian.” Listening to that baloney is as irritating as h*ll.
Our library has books for book clubs. We have at least 10 copies of books that are “hot” at the moment. When groups stop taking them out, they go into the book sale.
