This reminds me of watching wood carvers. If you ask them “How did you carve such a beautiful horse out of that log?”, they will answer “It’s easy really. You just carve away all the wood that doesn’t look like a horse.”

Higher than today’s price, but it has had multiple stock-splits since then.

The truth be told, the AT&T that remained after the break-up into the “Baby Bells” (in 1982) was ultimately bought out by one of those bells (I don’t recall which off the top of my head) and it took on the name AT&T. So the whole thing got a little complicated.

Either way, you’d be money ahead.

Yup. This kind of thing happens lighting fast.

I was never able to sleep in a plane, car, or even a chair until we had kids. After that, it came easy.

I once received a birthday card with a drawing similar to this one on the front. The caption read “When they bite on your butt and your eyelids swell shut, that’s a Moray.”

Every time the topic of those old McD’s Gift Certificates comes up I think of the lady that used to hand them out in our neighborhood for Halloween. I was 10 years old and the nearest McD’s was a two and a half hour drive away.

    And therein lies the problem.

    Oh, I wouldn’t say that.

I’m a bad Miata owner because I haven’t installed a coolant reroute kit. (I’m ruining my engine!)

I’m a bad Aviation Enthusiast because I didn’t give enough to cover the cost of fuel for the local EAA chapter’s B-17. (These things don’t fly on hopes and prayers you know!)

I’m a bad computer user because I haven’t upgraded to Windows 11. (Hackers! Argh!)

I’m a bad woodworker because I don’t have the most expensive name-brand tools and tool-sharpening systems. (If it doesn’t at least SOUND British, why are you allowing it in your shop??!?!)

I’m a bad parent because I didn’t buy my kids everything they wanted when they wanted it. (But Daaaaaaaaaaddddddd…….)

But I know how to fix all of these failings: Debt. Lots and lots of debt. THEN I’ll be happy.

(Don’t worry, that old Miata WILL get a reroute kit one of these days. :P)
