Oh, he’ll end up in restraints. I’m fairly sure of that.

Based on where this storyline seems to be headed and thinking back to Arlo’s “boat scare” (when he got his boat but then decided he was afraid to sail on the ocean), JJ has an underlying theme about finally getting what you always wanted and then realizing it’s not what you want.

(Though, I’d argue that Arlo could have taken some classes and gained knowledge and confidence as a sailor. He didn’t need to drop his dream due to fear.)

4 Down: 8 Letter word meaning “use of physical force to injure or damage.”

Huh. I guess sometimes “violence” IS the answer….

Honestly, there are some rules in calculus that have the same feel as what Sally has come up with.

In the 00’s my parents (in their 60’s at t the time) had their doctor’s home phone number. It wasn’t something he gave to everyone but my dad was dealing with a lot of health issues at the time and the doctor knew my folks wouldn’t abuse it.

This was in a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, so honestly you could have just walked to his house and knocked on his door – everyone knew where everyone else lived.

A friend bought me a very cheap fake Rolex on a trip to China. This is about how well it keeps time. :D

Toward the end of the strip CB came home and excitedly announced his team had won a game. Sally was so amazed and confused that she couldn’t believe it. That took the fun out of the moment for him.

I remember our 3rd grade class doing this experiment and the one in the closet grew but the one on the window sill did not.

I don’t know why that memory sticks with me so well. It was 1979 and I can still hear the sound of our teacher’s voice saying with a chuckle “Huh! Well THAT wasn’t supposed to happen!”

I always said there’s nothing better than having a close-knit, loving family in another state.
