    These guys are really lost. Those are saguaro cactus native to the Sonoran Desert of Arizona, California, and the state of Sonora in Mexico. Saguaro do grow anywhere near Roswell, New Mexico.

    As a caver and cave diver since 1959 I will only point out that the majority of cave diving deaths in the U.S. are the result of open water divers with no cave diving training entering water filled caves. Properly done caving and cave diving are exceptionally rewarding activities. The movies referred to in the comments above are just that Hollywood movies made to offer thrills, chills and to make money and are not a realistic depiction of either dry or wet caving.
