I’m so looking forward to Trump’s new term. The flag will have two, new, bright shining stars for the states of Canada and Greenland, the Panama Canal will be ours again, and the Gulf of Mexico will become the Golf of America as God intended. Whales and birds will be saved from the ravages of windmills and be protected by off-shore oil derricks. And, at last, the waters will flow freely from our shower heads and fill our toilets. We will be great again, indeed. Prices may go through the roof, but who really cares about that?

What a coincidence, today’s Non Sequitur is also about gaslighting.

Cucumbers or any of several squash would seem more to the point.

That’s actually the mulled wine. The real question is, why is the eggnog dark red?

They never do. Republicans love to pass tax cuts that mainly benefit the wealthy, especially since the top rate was drastically cut under Reagan. They would love to eliminate social safety net programs to balance things out; however, those programs are popular so they can’t if they wish to be reelected. Result: deficit spending. The top tax rate on extremely high income was 90% during the 50s, which was a time of general prosperity. Want to make America great again? Restore high taxes on high income.
