Actually there was the time where I thought I saw a fin swimming across the beach and called shark. Turns out it was a floating gas can from a boat. Probably should have used binoculars first. We kept that part quiet. Lol
True story…a few of us ocean front lifeguards back in the ’70s were standing under a covered boardwalk near the end of the day thinking we were nice and safe. A bunch of seagulls came flying straight at us and dropped their load when they had to make a hard turn up and away. The momentum the droppings hit some of us right in the middle of the jackets. Pop pop pop poop!
Sometimes I prefer baseball games on the radio because they call all the plays. TV announcers know you are watching so they spend too much time yakking with each other. Radio announcers will even interrupt each other to call the play.
