   12 September and they’re “baseline testing” (presumably) the football squad? After burying Berrill in an marked grave, these two “writers” certainly have lowered both the writing and the artwork to dismal levels. Shout out school references are up dramatically but at the expense of the historic conference foes and, of course, Marty Moon. I’m an old fart and have read this strip since late 50s and I fear I am their baseline audience. Do these stoopid storylines attract teen readers? Okay. I feel better. Back under my rock with me.

   happy Fourth! I, too, miss the annual 4th shout out…. and also engaging story lines without budding psychopaths …. who remembers Gil flying to his Mom’s place this time of year? and how come Berrill is not only forgotten/ignored but also burgled by Rubin and Wingham?
