Queen of America Free

Retired at 54 to southern UT. BIG mistake. Oh, well, guess I'm stuck for a while. Husband and I cater to 3 cats. We also foster so it's rare that we don't have a spare cat or some kittens in the house. When we don't, it seems odd.

My sister lover her flannel sheets in the winter but she lives in PA so I can see that. I’ve never used even when it’s bitter cold her. My body seems to run a little warmer than a lot of people so I think I would get way too hot. Give me plain cotton, low thread count hotel sheets.

My mother made the best fudge at Christmas time. It was the only time of year she made it. I miss it. I’ve tried a few times to make it like hers but it never came out the same so I stopped.

From about 1983 through 2004 (when we moved out of state) , we were roadies for a local c/w band.We sold the shirts, jackets and cds. Sometimes husband helped with the band set up. We followed the band when we could. We were always near the big speaker. Fast forward to about 2007 and I had a hearing test. Some of it was gone. The doc asked me a lot of questions but nothing he asked seemed to be an issue. Then I told him about the band. Yea, that would do it. Do I regret doing what we did just because of a little hearing loss? Not one bit. I’d do it all over again and twice on Sunday.

No matter how it’s spelled, I don’t get it. Or the part about the skin problems.

This is my husband. The other day, the XM in my truck stopped working. When it’s happened before, I just called and they send a reset signal. But, you have to be in the truck with the phone. We haven’t had time to do that so it’s been three days. He has XM in HIS truck, too. So, yesterday, he was fussing and fuming over having static from the local stations to and from work. (Which is the local high school about 3 or 4 minutes away. It takes about 3 songs on the radio from here to there). He was searching for the old antenna and still fuming. I kept telling that as soon as I got back from the bank, I’d call Sirius and he could get the reset signal. And, he COULD have driven HIS truck for the past few days. It has XM radio in it, too.Bottom line: just get a reset signal instead of carrying on. End of story: I came out of the bank and he’d gotten it fixed. All he had to do was find the right button on the radio and it reset itself. All of that fussing for nothing.

In the mid 1970s, I got a set of ‘sexy satin’ sheets. They didn’t last long. Too slippery, too hot, too annoying. I like a plain, low thread count cotton. I don’t like the costly, high thread count ones.

I’ll take the pizza. I don’t care about the turkey and don’t eat ribs.

    He probably thinks it should.

I don’t know, Earl. The plant doesn’t have life insurance.
