    Eryx,

Uh, no! There is nothing unconstitutional about Arizona’s law. If the people who were coming over the border illegally were Norwegians, who do you think we’d most suspect of being an illegal immigrant? Why someone with blond hair and blue eyes of course!! Well, the fact is that almost all of the people entering the country illegally over the southern border are Hispanic. So who do you think is the most reasonable group of people to examine for illegal immigrants? If you said Africans, Asians, or Europeans, then I’m afraid that you are stupid beyond help. Hispanics, particularly in the states along the southern border are the group of people where you are most likely to find illegal immigrants among. But, of course, you liberals are highly allergic to common sense.

I have seen some people making a VERY GOOD POINT. It is not enough to send back the illegals. Law enforcement needs to crack down on those hiring illegals and creating demand for their labor. I don’t think you can ignore the illegals, but I agree that diminishing the demand is a good place to start.

Actually, at the time the King James was written, the word “kill” was their word for murder. English has evolved as a language to the point where “kill” is used for all different forms of taking a life whether murder or not. If you research the Hebrew and consult experts like John Gill, you will find that it is a command against murder (including, but not limited to, the unjust taking of a life, sinful hatred in the heart, unjustly destroying another’s good reputation, etc.) The Westminster Larger Catechism is a good place to consult if you want the full list. It is certainly NOT a command against war or capital punishment (both of which God explicitly commanded were to be used by the people of Israel in the Old Testament). It most certainly condemns abortion.

Do I understand everything in the Bible? No, I don’t think anyone can fully understand everything in the Bible because it is the Word of God, and God’s understanding is far greater than ours. But a large portion can be understood by those who have “ears to hear and eyes to see”.

Also, remember that there can be errors in translation because it is human beings who are doing the translation work. Also, if you find the KJV difficult to understand with its outdated English, the New King James Version, the Old American Standard, and the New American Standard, are all commonly used versions, and a little easier to follow sometimes.

There is only one race: the human race! Nobody seems to get that today! It is wrong to treat people differently based on skin color, and believe me, racism spews from the mouths of people of all skin colors: white, black, yellow, red, brown, blue, etc. (kidding about the blue, but I’m just making a point.)

Regarding this comic, it’s kinda funny. Not one of his funnier jokes, but it is typical Pig (taking things literally). But you just know that if it had been a joke like BLACKground noise, there would be some thin-skinned whimp somewhere screaming about how racist the comic was. The double standard of today’s politically correct society is so stupid!

    Hey darsan,

I know you’re a big fan of the public education system, but when schools start bringing passing grades down to 50 or 40, even you have got to admit it’s a broken system. Oh yeah, and those unions that fight to keep some people employed who are hopelessly inept at their job. Tenure too, while originally a good idea, forces some schools to keep bad teachers and let good ones go when cuts become necessary. Believe me, I know what I’m talking about! I’m an assistant scoutmaster in the local troop and I’ve talked to the boys (most of them attend public school) and they all have complained about this problem.

The government-run public education system is broken!! The sooner everyone realizes this, the better for all. Children who are home schooled or attend private school generally outperform public schooled children. Again, it’s not that the public-schooled children are less capable or intelligent, it’s that the government messes up most of what they get involved in, and the education system is a disaster!

Parents need to get more involved, too. Parents should be allowed to choose what classes their children should take. And for crying out loud, somebody needs to stop “sex education” of 2nd graders! A representative in the Iowa legislature once read a bit from a 2nd grade level “sex ed” book and it was so detailed and so graphic that some of the members of the legislature couldn’t take it and left the room! HELLO, PEOPLE!!!!

    grayhares,

Ooohh, ooohh, I know the answer to this one. But I’ll let the libtards guess first if they can (and if they dare!)

They’ll probably give the correct answer (along with some pathetic excuse as to why it was okay in that instance.)

Yeah, voter fraud is not uncommon (anybody ever heard of Acorn?) I find it hilarious that libtards call conservatives racists, then direct some of their most vicious hate toward African-American conservatives.

The worst kind of racism is political correctness. Political correctness has only served to uphold racism, not destroy it. The fact is that there is only one race: the human race. Racism can trace some of its roots to evolution and Darwinian ideas. Darwin himself was a strong racist (like Hitler, Africans were low on his evolutionary chain). Other roots go to centuries-old distrust of people who look different. Today, we have the opposite problem of 50 years ago. Minorities are given preferential treatment instead of being persecuted. My brother has been told by several police departments that they can’t hire him because they have minority quotas to meet. When will we just make judgments based on character and abilities rather than skin color and gender?

    Rockngolfer,LOL!! That’s briliant!

towerwarlock,Very true, and isn’t it interesting that our president is a socialist who has continued the spending spree Bush started, only at a ridiculously higher rate?

    Dr. Canuck,

And what may I ask is your great “proof”? I have all the proof I need that He reigns today.

Someday, everyone will recognize Him as King, but for some, it will be too late. God is a god of love AND justice. Love and forgiveness do not mean that justice gets thrown out the window.

    exoticdoc2,

I understand your feelings. I really do. I also know that Islam, by nature, is a violent religion, though there are some Muslims who do not participate in or support the violence. My father knew a man who was originally born in Pakistan and raised as a Muslim. Later, he came to this country, was converted, and went back to Pakistan as a missionary. He told another pastor that we know “Islam is, by nature, a violent religion as laid out in the Koran. Islam has no tolerance for those who believe differently.” The man also said that he and his wife were going to Pakistan, expecting they would be killed one day by the Muslims they wished to minister to. A few years ago, this proved true when a couple of people who were angry at them hired a friend (who had Al Qaeda ties) to kill them. The friend took a couple of people with them and brutally murdered the pastor and his wife.

These people will even kill other Muslims who won’t join the fight. They consider them infidels who have failed to obey the Koran. I understand why Juan Williams spoke as he did. There is every reason for a certain level of discomfort with Muslims. The Ft. Hood massacre is further proof. The guy was a Muslim convert.

    HOWEVER…

This is America. We do have freedom of religion. The problem with restricting one religion is that you set a precedent. Soon, the government will restrict other religions they don’t like or deem “threats”. I don’t know if you heard what Nutty Napolitano said shortly after she was put in charge of the Department of Homeland Security, but the basic jist was that she viewed anyone who holds to Conservative principles as a likely terrorist. In other words, she’s saying that if you aren’t a liberal, then you’re a good terrorist suspect in her eyes. We must keep Freedom of Religion. This goes to the Ground Zero Mosque thing. Should the Muslims have a right to build their mosque there? Yes. Is it a good idea? NO! Is it grossly inconsiderate to the families of those who died? You betcha! But they still have the right.
