A small reservoir holds about 100,000 acre feet of water. That’s about 32,585,100,000 gallons of water. A typical tanker truck holds about 10,000 gallons of water. To fill a small reservoir would require about 3,258,510 truck loads of water.
This was a lot easier back in the 80s with no internet, nut still hard to do. I remember being on a trip to Hawaii and the Lakers game was on delay because of the three hour difference. It was the NBA finals, and if they won it was over. I managed to avoid TV and radio for those three hours and then I turned on the TV to watch the game. As I was flipping through the channels to find it, there was a Dodger game on, and I stopped for a second to see the score, and up came a graphic congratulating the Lakers for winning the NBA championship. Just pausing on the Dodger game for about 10 seconds was enough to blow it. Whoops.
Scratchy!
