Half my gardening has gone to wrack & ruin, b/c the afters are too hard to live with, due to arthritis. The other half is kinda seedy, weedy & forlorn.

Awww, Fido had his silver youth & now has his golden old age. “As you are now, so once was I. As I am now, so you shall be.”

Female side here: didja ever stop to think about what WE think of being married to YOU? The Hubs & I are going on 47 years & it hasn’t been Easy Street, but, it’s been worth it all. Because we’ve worked at becoming better people for & with each other, instead of whinging on about our differences. For MikeJ: I am so sorry!!! May God give you peace & comfort. Flights of angels sang her to her rest.

How about the Scots? See a man in a “skirt”, sittin & Knittin & tell him he’s less of a man & being a woman??? O, aye, if ye want to git yer head knocked off!

Never noticed the typo. Too busy admiring the art work & taking in the meaning. As a life-long INFJ with all the attendant introvert-in-an-extrovert-world problems, I need to remind myself at least once a week, that pretending to be something or somebody that is NOT me, is NOT the way to live my life. Shakespeare said it, “This, above all: to thine own self be true. And, it must follow, as night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man.”

When I zoom in on my screen, it looks like a mole hill pile & a few blades of grass.

Not gonna happen. Cliff will never give up his eating habits.

Nope it won’t. Erma Bombeck once said, if she had to do it all over again, she would’ve gone to bed when she was sick. I was young enough when I read that, to take the words to heart. And now I’m old enough to be thankful I was smart enough to heed the warning in her words!

Nope. Not what she meant. Once you have a child, that child is your child until you die. Doesn’t matter how old you both grow, doesn’t matter that said child stands on their own two feet, lives around the world from you, or has no reason to need your care, or (tragically) dies before you. You love them. You care about them. You worry about them. Your heart breaks for them. Your arms are always open for them. And you never forget them & wish you could put your arms around them one more time, if they’ve died before you do. And, quite frankly, that “18 & going to college” is more scary than the first day of daycare, nursery school or kindergarden combined!!!
