Once again, in our time of national crisis when the issues before us need to be so carefully delineated, and the case needs to be made for a fair hearing of which direction to take and what application to make and which leader to choose, we are guided still by the Spirit of President Abraham Lincoln in this, our hour of peril with the wisest of words and the choicest of actions to take to embolden us to take righteous action in the righteous causes of freedom and security to secure the blessings of ourselves and our posterity. Lincoln’s cause was just and so is ours today to pray to the better angels of our nature and to our own concience to implore and seek the Providence of the Almighty for intelligence, as well as wisdom, for our choices in November and over the next four years.

How is it that a President who is in office for a term of 4 years, and if re-elected when he makes a promise to another country, in absence of a Treaty approved by the Senate, can promise that nation the U.S. will maintain a military and diplomatic presence in that country for another 10,20, or 30 or more years like President Obama did to Afghanistan ? Especially, after we demanded the Soviets leave Afghanistan for precisely the same reasons ! Also, why do we have “permanent bases” in countries like Great Britain, Germany, Japan, Okinawa, South Korea, and offering to build more in other countries. Doesn’t our Constitution forbid such? Our First President General George Washington gave a Farewell Address to the first American Army and warned against getting mixed up permanently in “entangling alliances” and treaty alliances and arrangements that would get us involved in future military conflicts to “save our treaty partners”. What would have happened in 1939, if we along with Great Britain and France, had a Treaty with Poland ?

Forget the mass-panic bumper-sticker mindset, “Mormonism Is A Cult And Romney Is Influenced By Salt Lake City, Utah !” Amd forget “Catholics Are Directed By The Pope !” : worry about instead about “Grover Norquist Is A Cult And The G.O.P. Worships His Philosophy At The Cost of their own Electorate And the American People !” Grover Norquist has had more influence on the G.O.P. than anyone since 1932, and, more particularly, since 1992: Grover Norquist is a private citizen of no elected office, holds no office in any governmental post, is not part of the G.O.P. national leadership committee, is himself the self-appointed spokesperson for the G.O.P. and its philosophy, and has no accountability for the Federal budget, and is not responsible to the electorate. Yet, all Conservative pundits and Fox News Network and Conservative “think-tanks” swear by him and swear to his “No New Taxes” and “Lower Taxes” and “Limited Government Only” Pledges than any other private citizen.

The pitch that Robo-Romney is using to sell himself to the American people is this: ’ Hi, I’m Mittens Romney and I want to be your next Republican President because I am a businessman and I understand the problems of business." The last businessman who sold himself to the American people with that pitch was none other than Herbert Hoover and we all remember how that worked out, don’t we ? ? ?

Tell us,….President-to-be “Mittens” Romney (that’s Richie Rich to all his close friends & acquaintances), " How the hell do we get out of this “Great Recession”, first of all. Then, how do we pay down the national debt without giving up our entitlement programs and defense and home security programs ? Riddle me that ? ? ?

The NRA wrote the “Stand Your Ground” Law for the legislator who introduced it,……..ALEC distributed NRA legislation to all 50 states, of which 26 statehouses adopted the “Stand Your Ground”-type and styled laws, and Trayvon Martin’s shooter, George Zimmerman, carried out the law to show that citizens had the right to shoot-down unarmed citizens, simply because the law, and those like it, place the burden of proof on the one who is shot in the absence of witnesses and without being able to testify in his own defense and not contest the motive. Since 2005, the “Stand Your Ground” law has given permission to Fla. citizens to shoot down 65 other citizens in cold blood. Why was Florida’s prior law for self-defense replaced by the “Stand Your Ground” Law and why cannot it be re-emplimented to improve the safety, care and integrity and vigilance of defenseless citizens against citizens carrying weapons or having concealed weapons on them ?

Sign should say " 1931 " . It is what the Republicans have been trying to do since then. Every election cycle since then has simply been a G.O.P. battle-cry to "get rid of the "entitlement and welfare society " of Big Government and return to the BIG BUSINESS society of 1931 and small, limited federal government and GREATER STATES’ RIGHTS’ GOVERNMENT to cater to the "special interests clique " at the local levels.

Senator and Minority Leader Mike McConnell of Kentucky and Representative and Speaker of the House John Boehner, leaders of the Congressional G.O.P., "the gang that cannot shoot straight " and the party that is wagged by the tail of the Tea-Party—the American people want jobs and health-care reform and the road to economic recovery—it is high time for compromise with the Democrats and for making the point of "getting it right " for a change !
