   Circus segment reminds me of how much my late mother liked the circus as she perceived it from her rural home in Wisconsin—a family of exotic animals and costumed performers and the travel from place to place to entertain. This unexpected turn in the plot of Gasoline Alley is certainly keeping my interest.

   Who drinks any Belgian style ales from the bottle? And which style did he brew? He perhaps did not expect the scent of sweaty horse blankets (not always a defect).
