   When I stopped having my period at 49 1/2, I started taking Black Cohosh after getting hot flashes. It works for me, but I will always say to see a doctor first. I just looked up natural ways to deal with hot flashes and Black Cohosh came up as one. A friend of mine had real bad hot flashes and was so glad I suggested taking Black Cohosh as it stopped her hot flashes.

   But avoid Tylenol! I took it twice and found out that it messed up my cycle aka acted like birth control. I stuck to Ibuprofen and Midol. Now, I take Black Cohosh for Hot Flashes since 2016 (49 1/2 – Birthday, January 3rd).
