Nate would love to have the treasure chest but is so focused on the mundane that he reins in Louie’s fascination with the butterfly. Most of us tend to think like Nate. And, after all, Louie is just a dog. Hmm.
What I love about Overboard is its thinly veiled social commentary. The gentle humor and somewhat undefined relationships among characters are vaguely and ambiguously appealing, just like life.
Finally: no negative remarks about the resident rodents! I hope Chip has finally won over all the skepttcs…
