   I know what you mean, I’m 73. Of course I was smart and married a girl that is 11 years younger than me, so the odds are she can take care of me. Ha! Actually we are selling our big house in the next year or so. We bought a motor home and are traveling a lot now. It keeps us active and we have fun seeing all the family and friends around the country. In one year we have visited 23 states. We are planning on a small house on my brother’s ranch as our focal point. I will not go in an elder-care home, at least I hope not. We are pretty healthy but we live, not obsessed with health. I love my steak, beer and she loves her wine. We have dogs and walk them and we have fun. I think if you have faith, live the best you can, you will be okay.

   Depends. My mom and dad went through some hard times. Us kids got together, fixed up their house and sent the extra money to supplement their income. It worked out beautifully and they they loved it. If mom or dad were alone, maybe, maybe not. Depends on their desire and health. Some older folks are fiercely independent.
