Reagan did spend, but it wasn’t as bad as Bush or Obama. He was one of, if not our best presidents. For those who have mentioned FDR, he was one of our biggest spenders,and lengthened the Great Depression in our nation. It was WWII that got us out of the Great Depression and revived world economies. His spending policies did nothing more than prolong that generation’s suffering. For those who are bringing up Iran-Contra, Reagan was not directly informed about the dealings. It was the Congress who had, days before, made those weapon dealings illegal.
If we stopped spending so much, than maybe we’d have some to spare ourselves of future ordeals that we can get ourselves out of. Both parties spend like mad. Both Bush and Obama are big spenders. We should stop while we are still ahead.
