Dukakis IS a Dem, and perhaps Mrs. Bush forgets how well the Dems treated Bush the Elder regarding his compromise on taxes.

We’ll have to agree to disagree. Most conservatives view Obamacare as an assault on freedom. The problem on health care was cost, not overall access for the uninsured. The truly uninsured could have been addressed without converting 1/6th of the American economy to a statist vision of healthcare, a long-time Democratic dream.

Besides, healthcare was not biggest issue when Obam was elected, and still isn’t: it’s the economy. But he did promise to fundamentally transform America, didn’t he?

Obama was my home state’s Senator, and before that, one of our state legislators. He was a man of no accomplishments then, and he’s doing a worse job now.

All too often, when the Dems say compromise, their idea is that the GOP just needs to agree with them.

comicgos: perhaps you should enlarge the cartoon and read it again. It appears to be about a boy who committed suicide as a result of being bullied. I believe that stopping bullies is a non-partisan endeavor.

    Everything isn’t about politics.

That works for governments that derive their powers from the CONSENT of the governed. Tyrants believe that the people work for their benefit.

No, teachers’ unions and the Department of Education are much worse.

The main point is that the need that once existed to fund PBS & NPR in the past is no longer relevant. Americans today have many sources of information and entertainment without having borrowed money to support this venue.

WTF? How did Pakistan become bleeped??

Act in haste, repent in leisure.

If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well. Take the extra time to do it right. Besides, Russia isn’t the problem; it’s North Korea, Iran, bleeepstan. I trust the Ruskies with their nukes than I do the nutjobs in NK & Iran. And if the Taliban gets ahold of any bleeep nukes, holy crap!!

As someone once said, guys don’t like taking showers with guys who like to take showers with guys! We don’t have private apartments, you know. Are the services to have four sets of quarters: straight male, gay male, straight female, gay female?

That said, the military will do what it always does: bleeep about the air-headed civilians doing social engineering, but implement the policies of our civilian leaders. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

And for any of you turds out there willing to bash others as “homophobic”, look up the word. Don’t confuse someone’s disgust or belief that homosexuality is immoral with irrational fear.

Not banksters. The Chinese. Gee, what could possibly go wrong with THAT?
