Sympathies, Mr. (I presume) Lewis – we’re both fully vaccinated here and still find ourselves in day six of recovery, even so. Go to bed, try to sleep through it until the bugger goes away.

Been a few days over 21 years since I went out on my first date with my wife. I asked her for a date. She said that although she wanted to go out with me she would never have been so forward as to have asked me. I had to ask her. Wouldn’t have happened otherwise. I say “Go for it”, Tiff. Apologies are easy, missing a chance OTOH…

And that applies to real life as well as ’toon.

Factoid – Mee-Meow is a rarity inasmuch as she is female. Eight out of ten orange cats are usually male.

Mandy, you ain’t smelt nothing yet!

Wait until one of your four legged children waits until you aren’t around, hops up onto the electric range and pees on one of the burners. (Gods only know why they do that.)

Then you turn on that burner…

It’ll sear your nose’s scent receptors for days. Skunk is far preferable to that smell.

Fuzzy on an 8" tablet, fuzzy on a 24" HD screen. Actually didn’t even try to read the battle scenes.

I like Scotts’s smart ass humor. Hey, Scott, how about working a Rocket Man/Elon Musk encounter?

    *Alpha Cat Update *

Alpha is as interesting an individual as any that I have ever known. He continues with his task of being the top cat of the area and making sure all is well according to his lights.

He also shows some nicely contradictory character traits -

1: We have one week old chick being started in the living room (his siblings died.) The little guy is lonely and sometimes becomes agitated, peeping away. Alpha has already designated this tiny creature as one of the household and maintains a benign interest in his well being. A day ago my wife found Alpha inside the pen with the chick, the chick nestled up against Alpha between his paws. Alpha has also developed the habit of of laying outside the pen with his paw against the transparent wall and the chick on the other side of the wall nestled against his paw. A chicken that thinks its mother is a cat…

2: A package was delivered to the house. Pat was outside when the FedEx guy arrived. FedEx asks if it’s okay to drop the package behind the house, is that black and white cat there? Pat says Alpha is out elsewhere. FedEx is relieved. Pat chats a little, turns out that previously he was dropping off a package and a certain black and white cat grabbed his sleeve. We presume that Alpha was defending the home against an uninvited intruder. Alpha would be pleased to know that he has struck fear into another intruder.

    - Mother to a chick, ferocious defender of his home. What a combination.
