   This macho man hairy Rip really sucks. let’s get back to the original Rip. He was much better. I really hope that this is all a dream and he’ll come back to normal with Breezy. If not, I’m dropping this one from my reading list.

   So, maybe I’m a sour puss, but after my high school graduation, I refused to go to my BS and MS graduations. My parents forced me to go to the high school graduation, or I would have skipped that as well. I find those kinds of things boring, and generally useless. The diploma is what counts, not some silly ceremony. Go ahead troll me if you want to. I don’t care.

   The Boatniks is a 1970 American comedy film directed by Norman Tokar and starring Robert Morse, Stefanie Powers, Don Ameche and Phil Silvers. It was made by Walt Disney Productions, released by Buena Vista Distribution. Pretty good show and I still watch it from time to time.

   The current scam for me is that I need to update my cloud account or google account, or I won’t be able to store any more data on them. I don’t have an iCloud account or Google storage, and even if I did, I wouldn’t use it. If it’s in cyberspace, it can be hacked. My stuff is on my computer that is not networked, and it is backed up on a removable drive every day.

   Once again, I quote Newton Minnow, Chairman of the FCC back in the 1960’s. This is what he had to say about it:

I invite each of you to sit down in front of your television set when your station goes on the air and stay there for a day without a book, without a magazine, without a newspaper, without a profit and loss sheet or a rating book to distract you. Keep your eyes glued to that set until the station signs off. I can assure you that what you will observe is a vast wasteland.”

    I read in Dear Abby (or maybe it was ask Ann Landers?), who was anti-smoking. A reader complained that she probably wouldn’t give a dying man a cigarette. Her answer was “No, I would, he’s already done all the damage he can.” May have lost a bit in the telling.
